Singing
Many members of the Branch have kept the singing tradition, as Béarla agus as Gaeilge,
alive over the years, including Paddy Gibbons, Davida Smyth, Mary Murphy, Risteard de
Barra and Willie Lawlor. Story telling (and bodhrán playing) has been well represented
by Paddy Fallon, R.I.P.
The voices of Paddy Gibbons, Mary Murphy and Paddy Fallon R.I.P. may be heard on the
Branch CD entitled "Idir an Dá Linn".
Singing Classes
At present Mary Murphy is doing tremendous work in passing on the tradition to our younger
members by the example and leadership of her excellent singing, her encouragement of the
talented young voices and also those voices whose full potential has yet to emerge.
Her singing classes on Thursday nights in St. Fiachra's Senior School, Beaumont are very well attended.
