Donncha contributed so much to the members of the Branch and musicians, singers and set dancers in Ireland and around the globe.
Smiling Donncha was very encouraging and wished for all to join in and enjoy traditional Irish culture.
He was everyone's friend, he shared his many talents while expecting nothing in return and left a lasting impression on those he met.
Donncha danced and gave instruction in dancing, he organised céilí's, branch outings, fundraisers for charity, edited and produced commemorative booklets on the history of the Branch, the Branch CD, a video on two hand dances, and prepared junior and more senior members for participating in set dancing competitions. He was a strong supporter of the GAA and helped shape the strategy for the future development of Comhaltas.
Listed below is a short list of many of the initiatives Donncha organised, produced, edited or was other wise responsible for bringing to fruition and making widely available. Also listed are some of the tributes written by some of his many friends after his untimely death.
