Band and Group Practice

In addition to the Thursday classes the Branch has céili band and grúpaí ceoil practice and classes in traditional set dancing for Junior members in three age groups, i.e. faoi 12, faoi 15 agus faoi 18, each Friday night in, with effect from 15 September 2006, the Pastoral Centre, Beaumont Dublin 5 (beside St. Fiachra's Senior School) between 7.30pm and 9.30pm from late September to May every year.

This is an opportunity for children to meet and play music with others in the same age group. There is a good tradition of set dancing in the Branch and all the children are encouraged to attend the set dancing classes.

This night is also used by bands and groups to prepare for participating in the Feis and Fleadh Cheoil and other competitions and preparations for other performances, e.g. in schools, centres for elderly people.
